The Diamond Disc
One earth.
One disc.
One mission.
In 1977, two voyager spacecrafts made history by being launched out of orbit to explore the solar system and interstellar space. Onboard these shuttles are two identical phonograph records, they are known as the Voyager Golden Records. They contain images, sounds and music selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. They were created for any intelligent alien life forms that may find them.
In 2025, a brand new record was created, its mission the same as its predecessor. Titled: The Diamond Disc.
A small but powerful disc containing 63 images, 27 songs, 23 sounds and 14 data sheets. It was launched into the cosmos on the 29th of May 2025, in hope that it may reach extraterrestrial life.
Today, its contents are open to the public for viewing.
